YouTube

This was really fun to create. It would be a great teaching tool. As I've told you before I'm obsessed with the Twilight Saga.

WEB 2.0-VUFIND & BIBLIO

I went into both of these Web 2.0 Award winners. I looked around and I think both of these would be somewhat useful to the library. If a teacher or student comes in looking for an out-of-print title you would go to Biblio. They have listings for rare books also. No matter what topic you want to look up you would look it up in Vufind.

RED-TAILED HAWK-CREATED IN ZOHO

RED-TAILED HAWK

There was a news coverage on the red-tailed hawk the other night on the news. What a coincidence, I actually saw one yesterday when I was coming back to work after lunch. It is such a beautiful bird. On the news the other night they stated that their were more and more migrating in North Texas. You can find them in bare trees or on tall light poles.

Zoho is so cool!!! This is the document I created and it published it right to my blog. It was sooooo easy. Anyone can do it. Just think what the students can create with these tools.

WIKIS

I love the Book review wiki but I they need to add more titles. This would be a great tool for students to let other students know what books they liked and the ones they didn't like etc. Like a discussion board we could post on our Library websites. I loved the wiki for the Bull Run Library. Lots of information.

WEB 2.0: ON THE WAY TO THE LIBRARY EXPERIENCE OF THE FUTURE

This is what we are all working toward. The Library experience of the future. By working in Web 2.0 we are getting aquainted with the ways of the future. This is only the beginning according to this article. It's only going to improve drastically over the next few years. So wake up everyone and enjoy the ride!!! We've come along way but we're going even further.

WEB 2.0: INTRO A NEW WORLD OF LIBRARIANSHIP

This article talks about planning and evolving new technologies for use in the library. I think some of the items would be very beneficial to our Senior when preparing their Senior presentations. It would be very instrumental in helping them explain their career decisons and why they chose this career. As far as lesson planning, some of these technologies would also be beneficial to our teachers as well as our administrators.

This was an interesting experience. I've never heard of tagging before. It was fun to go in and experience something new in technology.
